*warning. long [by my standards... because i don't really do this...] post. hehe.*
for pictures go here.
those were wrist-breaking, breath-taking, sun-burning, sand-beneath-your-toes-feeling, lying-under-the-stars-while-drinking, lung-popping-singing-then-having-your-neck-veins-bursting, heart-stopping [literally, because of the food Ü], playing-a-chinese-drinking-game-while-drinking, verandah-sleeping, 2-hours-mall-parking-lot-tripping, slow-roller-coaster-riding, gross-movie-watching, bus-sleeping, looking-at-a-500-year-old-church-and-gawking, waiting-on-two-lesbian-lovers-while-trail-walking [they were sloooooooow. add to that they were really taking their time, taking pictures [or having theirs taken] every now and then. it was really irritating], river-rock-jumping, cold-river-water-feet-dipping, almost-night-trail-trekking, top-loading [wuhu!!! finally!!!] days!!!daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn, those are the kind of days i wish never ended.
d^_^bi still have a hang-over from that trip. it was real fun!
i always have this some kind of disliking to chinese people [because of the chinese merchants in divisoria], but these guys from macau are really amazing. it is just too bad, when we were starting to warm up with each other, the trip had just to end. :(
the first day began rather bumpy; we left the hotel late, then got scammed by the mmda [we think it's a scam. dem you mmda]. but fortunately, it only got better from there. we were highly amused [and scared] by the way kuya noli drove our bus. he'so good he can manuever a largebus around tight turns, missing obstacles like road bars [what do you call those anyway? =s], tricycles, and other vehicles, by just around 2 inches. shit shit shit shit... woah! ang lapit na nun! taena! ang galing! he's really really really good. i was always willing to bet that we would hit something sooner, but we didn't.
anyway... kuya noli has the best dry humor you'd ever see in a person. humihirit with a straight face, you'd think twice whether he's joking or serious.
[before going to festival mall [after a very confusing afternoon. the itenerary kept changing. and we were starting to feel disappointed for the macau students already]]
me: kuya noli, may ipapabili ka ba?
kuya noli: wala naman... bilhan mo na lang ako ng napkin. meron yata ako ngayon e.
me: napkin? sige.
kuya noli: yung modess ha?
***[after seeing rap and arni share a glass of water]
-laughter-
and there were many more... um... kuya noli moments. and he can really manage to keep a stright face while um... hirit-ing. it doesn't sound funny right now. but we were laughing our *sses off when he makes hirit na [so konyow].
the first day was the better of the three. we stayed in a nice resort [clean white beach, grainy sand, secluded area, and there was a river! just beside the resort!] and we had the best room! [naubusan kasi ng room. we slept in the verandah instead. :) ]. we had ambient natural sounds [chirpping and buzzing of insects and birds], 270' natural view and natural ventilation. parang manosa nga daw. haha. the beach was, so far, the best beach i've ever been to. cheska said it's better than boracay. the waves were small, the sand was real clean [and it's the type of large-grain sand, it doesn't stick much to your skin; the whole area was clean. and instead of sharp, jaggy corals and rocks, the beach floor was lined up with smooth round river stones!] yehey! kaya masarap maglakad. linis pa talaga ng tubig. although it's a bit cold. but that's okay. there's also a view of mount [] in the not so far distance which made the place suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer pretteh!!! i want to go back there sooooooooooon!!!
*i finally learned how to float with my toes sticking out of the water!!! yehey!!!*
we also played volleyball [that really isn't my game], RP vs CHINA. haha. and i got bruises on both of my wrists. na-munda ako [roughly translated... um... i got sun burned. haha! sikat ka na JR!!!]. owen, one of the macau students heard and asked me what "na-munda ako" meant. wahahahahahaha!!! i never meant for them to really pay attention, unfortunately for jr, they did. hehe. sabi ko na lang, it's slang for getting sun-burned. then they repeated "na-munda akow..." i wonder if they would remember that. :)
*i saw one of the most beautiful [liveshow] sunsets there [not that i have seen many]. :3*
we videoke-d the first night. we thought the macau students would join us, but only one sang a song, and around 3 more of them only listened. and out of all the thousand songs in the videoke machine, this chinese girl chose to sang sha-la-la-la-la [sangkapa?]. the cooking crew [uncle, ate, ate alma], and kuya noli joined us later that night [which made the night funner]. grabe, expert sila pagdating sa videoke. kahit hindi sila nakatingin sa screen, kabisado nila yung mga kanta. tapos mga old songs pa. we didn't know most of the songs they sang.
anyway... we sang "turn around" [total eclipse of the heart] and we teamworked it!!! it was so fun! d^_^b muntik na pumutok mga litid namin sa leeg! wahahahahahaha!!!
then we resumed drinking on the beach. stars, sand, sky... [] d^_^b
after... [how many bottles was it again?] i thought we were finished for the night. we were ready to crash into our [mattresses] but the macau students were still in the verandah [they just finished playing killers. they told us they had Robin dancing on top of the table, as part of his consequence for having forgotten that he IS the killer]. we half-jokingly asked them if they still want to drink, and i was surprised that some of them are up for it. malalakas din sila uminom. they even taught us a drinking game. which took us some time to understand because they can't explain it very well. [and which we later on played in the parking lot out of boredom. hehe.] that day was looooong... woke up late the following day. hehe. :)
the meals [lunch, dinner and breakfast] were... um... [], and we were disappointed for the macau people. that disappointment grew when we finally arrived on our next location: riverview resort.
kuya noli: diyan kayo pupunta o.me and rap: asan?kuya noli: ayan o. riverview.me: asan yung river?kuya noli: ayan o. river. view. riverview.
*wahahahaha*
it was a [] resort. the meal was []. and we could sense the dismay from most of chinese people. our itenerary changed big time, becuase we were... um... "forced" to go to that sucky resort because the resort management told us they cooked lunch for us, which was not the original agreement. buti sana kung masarap at madami yung pagkain, pero hindi naman. hindi pa pwede bumalik for seconds. and because the schedule for that day was not followed anymore, the four of us [rap arni cheska me] thought of going someplace else instead. vincent and his girlfriend [i forgot her name #-o], approached us and told us some of them are getting "disatisfied" because they still want to follow the original IT and they should be hiking their way to taal volcano by that time. we learned taal is off-limits currently, and it took us some hard explaining that we can't go to taal. we just compromised and went to festival mall instead.
*we were supposed to go to [i forgot. but it is a local mall] but we took matters into our own hands [yeeees!] and just went to festival mall instead.*
the chinese people spread out quickly, the moment we got inside the mall. but some of them asked us to accompany them to the forex, []. we were soon bored out of our wits so we just decided to ride the indoor rollercoaster instead! wahahahahaha!!! wala lang. ang saya lang. we got freaked out by the "trees" and the flowers with the faces on the gaming zone for kids #-o and being not mall people ourselves, we got tired pretty soon enough. we just decided to head back for the bus. nangtrip na lang kami sa parking lot. haha!
we got back to the [] resort. had dinner. we played basketball [naks... ako? basketball? haha!!! RP vs CHINA again. 2 on 2] i forgot who won [rap scored all of our points anyway. haha. wuhu!!! magaling talaga si rap. at bano lang talaga ako. haha!] because our game was stopped when one of the chinese guys had his shoulder injured. my [measly] first aid training was put to the test, but i hesistated because i had it ages ago. and it was very hard to give instructions to a chinese, even in english. i asked the lifegurad if he could assist us but... it turned out he couldn't. we were telling the chinese guy [arrgh!!! i forgot his name!] that we should bring him to the hospital when *poop* he jerked his shoulder and all his pain disappeared [haha. ampanget ng construction]. after that we went swimming and only got cold. hehe. the day ended in a night of drinking. we told them we'll make kilawin for them but.. we didn't have the time to prepare. they liked the lambanog anyway. we played another chinese game. the losers will have to take a shot, but when we ran out of drinks, we played truth or truth instead. haha! buti na lang isang beses lang ako natalo. ako pa yung una, kaya walang wenta yung tanong. haha!
we ate our lunch at leslie's in tagaytagay the next day. sooooooobrang sarap! heart stopping! literal kasi bulalo yung kinain namin. haha! + ensaladang mangga [yummmm!!!] + laing [mmmm!!!] + sisig [orayt!]. after that, it was a 2 hour ride to majayjay. ang ganda talaga ng church dun. kakaiba. it really looks like it was carved out from the mountain. :)
after that, we were off to see the falls. sayang, pwede pala mag top load. dapat nag top load na kami papunta pa lang :) we got to the trail going to the falls. maayos yung trail, partly cemented, because the made an artificial creek from the falls. naging matagal lang yung trek papunta dahil ambagal [] raaaargh!!! buti na lang sinamahan ako ni cheska.
when we got to the falls, everybody was just standing behind the rocks. nagtaka ako, bakit ayaw nila lumapit sa falls? kaya ako na yung unang lumapit. haha! the water was ice cold and some of the rocks were slippery. we didn't stay for too long because it was already getting dark. muntik na maging night trek yung pabalik, buti na lang nung talagang madilim na malapit na kami sa dulo.
that jeep ride from the falls to majayjay proper was the best jeep ride i've ever had; because we rode it top-load. wuhu!!! it's like riding a roller coaster only much much better. no safety harnesses, no belts, no safety bars and you have to duck those low tree branches. haha!
we were bound for home that night. ate at caltex SLEX, where the KFC there has a "walk-thru". we were wondering what difference would that make if you order a to-go inside?
el acto del trapeze era maravilloso, pero nunca fue significado al último.
conjeturo que también va para todas las cosas.
but thank you rap, arni, cheska. i had fun. :3sa uulitin. :3
and see you soon macau people.i hope we could drink together again sometime.it was nice knowing you. :)[vincent and his girlfriend, angela, candy, sep [sam], owen, gloria, jesse and jesse, to the other people who drank with us and to robin. hehe.]
